MADAM CHANTAL BIYA HONORARY PRESIDENT OF US DOCTORS FOR AFRICA
To pay homage to the humanitarian work of Cameroon First Lady, Madam Chantal BIYA, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, Founding President of AFRICAN SYNERGY AGAINST AIDS AND SUFFERING, was elected Honorary President of the Association US DOCTORS FOR AFRICA.
The announcement was made during the evening gala closing the first ever international Summit of African First Ladies of 20-21 April 2009 in Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles Summit, jointly organised by US Doctors for Africa and African Synergy, enabled fifteen First Ladies and about ten others represented, to present their activities and lay the foundations of cross-partnership with many partners willing to contribute to the alleviation of suffering of vulnerable people in Africa.
