Ted ALEMAYHU in Cameroon: a rich and memorable stay
   
From 23 to 26 December 2009, Mr. TED ALEMAYHU, Founder and Chairman of US Doctors for Africa (USDFA) was in Cameroon for a working visit on the invitation of Her Excellency Madam Chantal BIYA, First Lady of Cameroon, Founding President of AFRICAN SYNERGY AGAINST AIDS AND SUFFERING.

During in stay in Cameroon, Mr. ALEMAYHU had a very busy time schedule.

- Visit to the Headquarters of AFRICAN SYNERGY
- Participation to the 2009 Christmas tree of the Chantal BIYA Foundation.

During this ceremony, Mr. Ted ALEMAYHU officially handed to Madam Chantal BIYA Her Certificate of USDFA Honorary President.

- Participation to the Christmas tree at the « Coccinelles » school of the Unity Palace To end this very busy day, Mr. Ted ALEMAYHU was received in audience by Madam Chantal BIYA.

At the end of this audience, he expressed his satisfaction and was very much pleased by the Hospitality of Madam BIYA, and Her Humanitarian work in aid of vulnerable people.

AFRICAN SYNERGY and USDFA signed a memorandum of understanding on 21 July 2008.

The two associations jointly organized the first « African First Ladies Leadership for Health » summit in Los Angeles from 20 to 21 April 2009. This conference enabled the them to achieve three main objectives:

- Present to the North American Public and the international Community the humanitarian action of African First Ladies;
- Help implement strategic partnerships in the domains of healthcare, fight against poverty, and promotion of education ;
- Mobilize human, material and financial resources in support of public services in the modernization of public health systems across Africa.

Created in 1999 in Los Angeles, USDFA is a humanitarian association working in several domains among which the fight against AIDS./-
